Mashed potatoes are the king of comfort food!

MASHED POTATOES

Mashed Potatoes.org is a community project founded by Seattle artist and entrepreneur, Matt Jones. The project is designed to deliver large quantities of potatoes and easy-to-store food items to local hunger-relief organizations.

Why the name “Mashed Potatoes”? Because Jones believes that mashed potatoes are the king of comfort food or as he puts it, “the top of the food chain of cool”.

Mashed Potatoes has experienced steady growth over the years and to-date has delivered nearly 2 million pounds of potatoes to Northwest Harvest, as seen on King 5, NWCN, Seattle Metropolitan Magazine and more!

MashedPotatoes.org is a grassroots organization of volunteers with a vision of feeding those in need. Our only currency is easy-to-store food items. We are proud to say that 100% of our food donations go direct to domestic hunger-relief organizations. We direct all cash donations to Northwest Harvest.
